Well, congratulations on taking the first step on becoming hair-free! Your almost there, just stay consistent with your appointments!
Right after you see the technician, you may notice the area is a little red, swollen, or itchy… NO WORRIES! This is quite normal and last for a few minutes. Before you leave, simply apply a layer of Aloe Vera gel located in the wash room.
The hair will grow back as though you simply shaved the area. But this time, it’ll look dark and thick…basically appear to be burnt. That hair will fall off in two weeks… Make sure you do not wax, pluck, or use any hair removal lotions!! That’s a BIG no no! Because you’re probably curious why, I’ll briefly explain.
Laser hair removal works by targeting pigmentation. So we shave the area and the laser starts to zap away at the hair follicle. That’s what we are killing, so if you remove the hair follicle…what can the laser kill? The UPSIDE is you can shave in between sessions. Sessions are about 4-7 weeks apart. Before you leave, your tech will let you know when to schedule your next appointment.
Well other than that, the maintenance is pretty low. Just apply Aloe Vera before leaving and shave in between sessions! That’s it! Once again congratulations on taking your first step on becoming hair-free! See you at your next appointment!
